Institute of Chartered Tax Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICTAZ)
Purpose of the Role
The Technical Manager will provide leadership in technical tax matters, policy advocacy, and professional development. This role ensures ICTAZ members receive authoritative guidance, up-to-date resources, and compliance support in line with national and international standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Advisory & Support
Provide expert guidance on tax laws, compliance, and practice.
Develop technical manuals, updates, and member resources.
Respond to member queries on complex tax issues.
Policy & Advocacy
Engage with government, regulators, and stakeholders on tax policy.
Represent ICTAZ in technical committees and forums.
Contribute to shaping reforms in tax administration.
Professional Development & CPD
Design and deliver CPD programs for members.
Support examination content development and review.
Ensure training aligns with global best practices.
Research & Publications
Produce technical papers and thought leadership articles.
Monitor global and regional tax developments.
Maintain ICTAZ’s technical knowledge base.
Compliance & Standards
Ensure adherence to professional and ethical standards.
Provide technical input in disciplinary processes.
Align ICTAZ practices with PAAB and international benchmarks.
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
Proven ability to interpret complex legislation and simplify for practitioners.
Experience in professional development and stakeholder engagement.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Supervises: Technical team and CPD coordinators

Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Tax Accountant designation or equivalent professional qualification.
