Applied Zimbabwe Domestic Taxation, AntiAvoidance and Estate Tax Practice
This module provides applied professional coverage of Zimbabwe domestic taxation for candidates whose prior training and work exposure are primarily rooted in customs clearing practice. It is designed to strengthen competence in the major domestic tax heads and related compliance areas that fall outside the normal operational scope of customs clearing work, with particular emphasis on income tax, value added tax, capital gains tax, estate duty, selected succession issues affecting tax administration, tax avoidance, income splitting, transfer pricing, objections, appeals, recordkeeping, and tax enforcement. The module moves beyond introductory tax-system knowledge and focuses on the practical application of the operative provisions of the relevant Zimbabwe revenue laws. It is intended to ensure that candidates can identify domestic tax liabilities, interpret the relevant sections of the governing Acts, prepare or review tax computations and returns, recognise non-deductible and exempt items, assess tax risks arising from transactions and estate events, and advise on lawful compliance while identifying avoidance arrangements and other abusive practices. It therefore addresses the domestic-taxation competence concern in a direct and practice-oriented manner while remaining aligned to the professional conversion purpose of the programme.

Integrated Tax Practice, Compliance, Technology and Advocacy Capstone
This course is an advanced capstone module designed to consolidate and extend the competence of candidates completing the Customs Clearing Agents Professionalisation Programme. It is intended to provide an integrated professional bridge between the accelerated conversion route and the broader competence profile expected under the Institute’s mainstream tax education pathway. The course brings together direct taxation, indirect taxation, capital taxes, tax compliance, tax planning, tax audit response, revenue law application, tax technology, tax advocacy, and sustainability-related tax practice within one professionally assessed module. The module is designed to ensure that candidates do not merely understand isolated tax rules, but are able to apply them in realistic, multi-issue, high-pressure professional situations. It requires the candidate to analyse facts, identify relevant tax heads, interpret legislation, assess compliance risks, prepare advisory responses, manage audit and dispute matters, and communicate recommendations clearly and ethically. The course therefore functions as an integrated competence equalisation module aimed at strengthening breadth, professional judgment, digital capability, and applied practice readiness in line with PAAB expectations and the IFAC International Education Standards.
